The restaurant is known for its Figlmüller Schnitzel. For the plate sized Viennese Schnitzel of pork you pay about 17.90 Euro without side dishes. For this price you get the schnitzel served by a waiter in a classic tuxedo in this traditional establishment. The entrance of the small and rustic restaurant is located in a narrow passage between Wollzeile and Lugeck. To get a table you should definitely make a reservation in advance. Probably the most famous restaurant in Austria for the typically local dish -Tafelspitz- (cooked beef meat). It is served in a polished cooper pot together with a tasty soup and is high praise for the excellent quality. Due to the popularity of this location the visitor frequency is usually very high. Therefore most time the Plachutta is very crowded and the room, for the most tables, is quite tight. In any case you should make a table reservation and calculate an accordingly budget.
